About Nambour
NAMBOUR is a town in South East Queensland, 101 kilometres north of Brisbane and only 17km from the world renown Maroochydore Beach. The town lies in the sub-tropical hinterland of the Sunshine Coast at the foot of the Blackall Range and has a population, including the surrounding suburbs of Burnside, Coes Creek, and Perwillowen, of 15,550 according the Queensland Populations Estimates 2011.
Nambour enjoys great access to rail, schools, shops, and hospital services. Bushwalking, mountain biking, surfing and kayaking are just a small number of the activities which can be enjoyed in and around Nambour.
A number of farmers markets, including those at the famous ‘Big Pineapple’ site operate (in most cases) weekly.
